Well! The weather is just plum beautiful today. Sun shining again and I have a full blown case of "Spring Feever"!! Decided I didn't want to work again today so I didn't! Loaded up my little s10 and headed for ole Jeeps house. Watch'm saw some red cedar logs while I was there and quickly decided if I stuck around he'd have me help'n him. Yeah, I would've but he just decided he didn't want to saw anymore then. Went ahead and mosey'd over to the location where an old church once stood-about 100 years ago. After walk'n around that area for over an hour--found one place that made the old detector really go hog wild. Dug it out and it was part of a horseshoe nail! Also had a "look see" in the old Decker cemetary just west of the old church location. All these places are down the old Ring road that I'd written about. [It's in the archives now.] Need to go back and take some pictures of some tombstones. One in particular is of a young man killed in a gunfight in Leadville Kansas. He was 36 yrs old. Well anyhow, this probably isn't very interesting to ya'll but I find it to be really interesting. The old Ring road was formerly a stage coach trail and legend had it that Jesse James had once held up that stagecoach and stole $800 in gold and hid it alongide the trail. It also runs past my farm.Cold front headed our way and I'm not too fond of that but hey---it's still winter in Illinois. Lil Dumpllin is off all next week and I think she was say'n somethin about "florida"! I told'r I'd drive! Matt.24:44
