Went out look'n today to see if'n we [Lil Dumplin and I ] could find an older model Chev conversion van. Well-we did! [ I talked'r outta goin to florida till first week in May] Found a real nice 85 3/4 ton in Fairfield IL. After talk'n to the dealer for a spell rekon we'll buy it tomorry. I was want'n an older one with a small V8 engine etc. Fix'n to fix the carb to double the mpg. WEll anyhow, the dealer is a HUGE man. He made me look like a pup! I'm over 6 ft tall but I really had to look up to him. He just had to be over 6 1/2 ft tall. Musta weighed about 350#. Friendly as a pup and with BIG hands. I have huge hands but his'n were bigger! I think what impressed me the most about'm was his demeanor. He also had a little business card sized card on his wall-kinda hid. It depicted something about Christ! You know, sometimes you can just tell from look'n at somebody that they are Christian even before they start speak'n. As a car dealer-that in itself is an amazing truth! He never lied to me and I knew it! I told'm the van had belonged to an older couple that had lots of highway driv'n. He said--Yep! He knew the folks-they were old and retired and had a son liv'n in Cinncy where they visited often. The man died and his widow sold it to this dealer. High mileage but the seats in back looks like they are brand new! Course this old countryboy ain't no fool when it comes to look'n at old vehicles. I've had bunches experience doin just that. Time to retire my Nicki--s10 pickup.

I failed to tag this post---CHRISTIAN TALK! Hope nobody was offended by my failure but an excuse is better than none. I was SNEEZIN when I hit the "submit" key. Matt.24:44

Hoot, I think you mean "a poor excuse is better'n none." Do you know the definition for excuse is--skin of a reason stuffed with a lie.

Nice post Hoot. That gentelman you described (Christian) is indeed becoming a very rare breed. Through all my years with dealing with people I have noticed that it is becoming more difficult to find this type of guy. Keep those post coming. Jerry

Hoot, it always excites us when we find we are doing business with a Christian!

Hoot, where abouts in Florida are you and the missus thinking of visiting? If ya'll are coming through the panhandle, email me, if you want to stop by for a glass of lemonade and to sit a spell on my old, oak glidder on the front porch. My hubby, Bill and I would love to share praises of the Lord with you.
