I received another Leica news letter with more info about the chat forum about the state of the Leica R system. Of interest might be the link to compute the correct time from anywhere around the world. I am copying the entire narrative below:

Dear Leica Friends,

we would like to give you the final information on our first hosted chat on Friday, March 30th, 2001.

From 4:00pm-5:30pm CEST Stefan Daniel, Head of Product Management, Lothar Koelsch, Head of Research and Development, as well as Peter Fett, Product Manager of the Leica R-System, will be available for a discussion on the future of the Leica R-System.

Due to daylight saving time- adjustment, German time now differs by +2 hours from UTC/GMT.
