I'm only guessing, but if this morning was indication - it might happen.

I don't want to unduly alarm anyone, but Argdigita laid off 20% of it's workforce last Friday. (ArsDigita is Greenspuns company.) I may be WAY overreacting, but if we need a new place to meet if this one goes down we can go to Uncensored Spinoff on other software.

I don't expect everyone to run away from Stephen's right away, but please bookmark it in case we get the rug pulled out from under us. It loads fast and doesn't have annoying bells, whistles and smiley faces so I think it will be a good replacement for this one if necessary.

Go to Yahoo, Lycos or the one that MS sponsors. After all is merged, collapsed, gone overnight,,,,,those might still be around. Google doesn't know what to do with Deja yet.

The carnage is everywhere. Homes.com just went Ch. 11 and they host a mere 150,000 web sites. Burned up almost 40 mill and they actually had revenues.

The whole thing is interesting isn't it? They were reporting they were getting ready for an IPO and I guess people don't realize most people only sell out when there's a problem. If you're interested cpr, I posted an arsdigita discussion over at Unks.
