As we get closer to the taping dates for the California shows, I have to ask: What are they going to build? Will we know ahead of time what the various challenges are going to be? (And did they get any ideas from all the discussions here?) Enquiring minds want to know. (And so do I!)

We will not know ahead of time whats to be built. The contestants don't know until the morning of the build - when you see them announce it on the show is when they find out.

Of course, the experts do know ahead of time and have submitted a plan of how to build it. Jeff from the NERDS has a pretty good explanation of this on his web page.
