Hi my name is jesika and I'm in 7th grade. I watch your show with my stepdad every monday. I have to say that who ever created this show is a very creative person. I thought it would be cool if you put on a kids junkyard wars and have me and some of my classmates be on the show. I also have an idea that I think would be challenging yet easier than the other things people have made.My idea was to build a go-cart and have all the kids drive it and whoever crosses the finish line first wins. Also we would have a professional person with us. I hoped you like my idea and if you have any questions pease e-mail me back.P.S. I like the producer who is the host on the show's hair. (the girl)

Jesika, you go girl! The kids' show isn't there yet. In the mean time check out some of the ideas on the junkyardscience web site and the sciencespot web site. There are activities and resources that bring junkyard wars to the classroom. Tell your science teacher about the sites/ideas and let your creativity and resourcefulness run wild. And, if your class does any junkyard style stuff, tell us about it. Be scrappy and have fun!

Jesika:The issue with doing a kids version, as discussed by RDF many times in the past and on the JYW FAQ page is that there would be no way to get the proper insurance coverage to allow persons under 18 to compete.
No one has or will say that people under that age couldn't do it. In fact, most of us have been working with our dad's tearing stuff out of junkyards and building awsome machines since we were younger than you.
Keep passing along you suggestions, and please go check out Junkyard Science.com it's got some great stuff that you and your friends can try.
