Hi all.Yeah, I'm updating today to get that entry out of there (I like it a lot, but it's not helping the traffic any).
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
I'm starting to think T stayed till today. You didn't see her, did you Mike?
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
No. In fact, my entry may be called "Waiting forlornly by the cellphone."Heh.

The Mike and Hannah morning.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Aw, I'm ruining the Mike and Hannah show, because BAM, I'm in.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
All right, give us the scoop!

Well, here's how it all went down:
During The Great Discussion, we pretty much decided we'd move to Atlanta whether or not he got into Emory. I want to move to the southeast and he wants to go somewhere pretty and cool that has good music (which is why Austin is still like, a darkhorse contender), so ATL looks like it.
Saturday we went to Matt of Hardlucy's and sang and played and ate and drank, and drank and drank. People. I never do that. It was great big fun. We even skipped Slobberbone. We were literally half- dead by the end of it.
Easter Sunday was spent in recovery.
This morning, Chris heard from Emory. He did not get in. I know y'all are probably almost as upset as I am to hear that. He's doing pretty well about it. His professors are being extremely supportive - "This happens... it's not over... next year... blah blah blah..." so, he's going to be ok. He wants to reapply next year to other schools, and I think he will.
Right now, both of us are ready for the Texas Chapter of our lives to be over (unless we move to Austin, you know) and ready to head back South.

Wow. I'm sorry about Emory. If he's applying to other schools next year, Maryland has a very strong and underrated history department. Plus, if he goes there, y'all would get to relocate to Washington, and you could work out your hatred of Duke and UVa for free at Byrd Stadium and Cole Field House.

Aw, Al. Stupid Emory. But does that mean that now Chris will play for Hardlucy? Hee. He was so good! Master V is seriously in love with him now.
I have to go to work, my loves. Be back latah this afternoon.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Aw, mayn. Stupid Emory. But this is a blessing I think, as y'all now get to choose together where you'll be happiest. Partners 50/50 and all that jive.Letter from fan in Dallas. Kirr me. But Lin Chao no answer my letter. She no like?
So jealous of jam sessions.

I can't believe you skipped the Bone though. That is true dedication to the drink, right there.Going to lunch. I'm sure I'll still be the L_L when I get back.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Sorry, sorry. Our server assed and went down and I had to get up and kill someone.
I updated - MOC Guest Entry.
Going to lunch right now, since I can't do anything much until it comes back online.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
And I'm back from chatting. All right!
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Oh, was there a baseball chat today? How was it?Did you update?
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Not yet, but I will before I go.I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday, btw, although I'll be in one of those days to update and check mail. Probably Wednesday.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
MATH is all kinds of quiet lately.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Hey, a guy has to break for lunch at some point.

What's up with Meg's?
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Nothing as far as I know. She left that forum post up, which cracks me up.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
I'm sure Drew will e-mail her again, and she'll say she's preparing her business for going public and so can't post.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Y'all. Will I ever get any work done, again? Answer: no. I wish T was in. I have about 4 million questions to ask about ATL. I also need her to find me like, a job.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
Have you been researching today?
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
I have been researching like a mofo. And Chris is out of control, sending me five e-mails an hour about it. I have never seen the man this inspired. He's just ready to get out of San Antone, yo. I can't blame him. He just about had the life sucked right out of him there.

Is he thinking of teaching at comm. college for a year or so? There are so many schools in Atlanta and the surrounding area.
-- Anonymous, April 16, 2001
He's thinking either that or continuing on in Financial Aid. My friend Shaun teaches at Clayton College and there are some badass jobs there. Also, Shaun has a good friend at Emory in Human Resources who could maybe get the MOC in their Financial Aid dept.
The MOC did a good thing when going full-time in the financial aid thing while also full-time in school. It just about kicked his ass, but at least he now has a career independent of his degree and will not have to work at McDonald's while waiting to get into a PhD program.

Is everybody gone? I've been working like a loon today.
M - loved the drunken cell entry.
