Lil Dumplin and I mosey'd on down to the river bottoms this evenin. Went down an old road that we hadn't been down in years. It appears we are in a drought already this summer as those "low lyin" roads are all dry and passable. Well- almost all are dry and passable. After windin around for better part of an hour we finally came upon a "hole" the old chevy 4 wheel pull could'nt have navigated through. I didn't even try! That raskel was full of blue mud -about 15' wide and close to 50 ft long. Deep? Appeared to be about 8 ft deep! Yay-hoos around here go "muddin" with their 4 wheel vehicles and see just how much mud they can go through. They run in packs like wolves and when one gets stuck there's always others there to pull'm out. Well anyhow, turned around in a field and it got this old fat man "turned around". When we got back to a Y in the road we'd encountered earlier I didn't know which way to turn! Lil Dumplin had to tell me! Oh the shame, degredation, humility and emabarrasment!! I went the way she said and we finally got out. I still can't believe I made a misteak!!!Speakin of steak--bought about 6 pounds of PORK STEAK Friday. Looks purty good and will taste even better when I grill it. Don't ususally by hog steaks as they probably are raised in those stinkin factories.
Anothe week ahead of us and with all kinds of opportunity awaitin our hands. Some readin this may not be here [me included] next week so we need to get ready to meet the One who died for our sins. Jesus Christ is coming soon--or we could die before He returns! Are you ready to meet Him? Don't waste another chance to Trust Him. Tomorrow may be too late. Matt.24:44

Hoot!!!You are right. YOu shouldn't buy those hog steaks because every time you do you are supporting factory farming. You are much better to look for a local farmer who will supply you with your meat needs. Two things are accomplished, you get a better product and your neighbor, the small farmer stays on the farm!!!!

Hoot, don't feel bad about the direction thing. I'm told one of the reasons the Isrealites spent 40 years in the desert is that Moses wouldn't let his wife see the map. My wife told me that of course.
