Daily Freeman: Board to wait for court decision before deciding how to deal with loss of leased modulars

Off-topic but urgent: Kathy Keefe, one of the partners of Catskill Mountain Coffee, urgently needs a small house to rent for herself and her teenage daughter, as the one in which she is living is being sold. Please email me if you know of anything available reasonably that is being rented by word of mouth. Thanks.

Post-mortem time, while it is still fresh in our minds.

What did we do wrong? What did we do right? What do we need to improve on for next spring's elections?

Seems like one thing we managed to do was keep the interest level high enough that we almost got as many votes out as last time...only this time we got more out than they did...even counting M Goodman's skimming votes.

My rough analysis seems to say that we got out more of our supporters in Olive/Shokan so that we gained over lasty year's totals and they got fewer out than last year...same in Shandaken...even though we lost those two districts our margins were significantly closer this time around. We won Hurley and Woodstock...more people working on the campaign throughout the district...last year I feel we got woodstock big time, but fell down in the other areas.

Hey..we won...now watch out for their trick on trying to get vanacore out by retirement and johansen or another of his ilk in as a board member for the next year. we need to squelch that right away. Maybe we can get Susan Goldman to fill the spot. Vanacore can sometiemns be worked with... Tobe

None of these factor in Goodman's votes, some of which (60%??? 80%???) were surely meg's and tom's.

Sorry for the two previous partial postings..slippery fingers :-) Tobe

Now down to important business. Party at the Rosatos on June 16th around noon. This will be a covered dish type thing. Bring something for the Q or what ever. We would like to get a list going of who will bring what, Main dish, Salad, Desert, Beverage? Please call me at 688-2214. It would also be a good idea to bring a chair. The pool will be open although I don't know what the water temp will be, but be prepared for a swim if you like and spread the word to all who worked so hard and brought about VICTORY. Thank you again. Tom and Phyllis Rosato

Things are looking up. There's a project being organized by the site team to come up with new ideas for the middle & high schools, open to the entire community. The first meeting is 6/13, the last site team meeting of the year.

Probably, we will organize............a committee! Meet after school every week, start coming up with design ideas immediately. Hank Woller is into it, and will draw new plans expressing the new design.

The project is offered in the next election, passes, and we all go on vacation, this time.

Everyone from this group of irregulars is particularly invited to participate. Focus on Education!!!!!

ps the WES kids who I worked with on the Model Project, including my son Eli are in 9th grade next year, veterans!

Apologies to all for the unfortunate slip of the finger that made Tom's last name into Rosasto in the thank you notes to the newspapers. My fault...ouch... Tobe
