Favorite websites

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

As I am fairly new to the internet (I avoided it for years because I knew I would spend too much time on here) I'm sure there are lots of good websites/forums out there that I don't know about. So what are your favorites? Especially ones that deal with homesteading and preparedness. I probably shouldn't even ask this question 'cause I'll spend even more time, that I don't really have, on here but I just love information. Thanks! Deena in GA

Here's one my friend Ava sent to me a long time ago. It's an amazing wealth of information!

What kind of preparedness? Simple how to? or why to? or how and why? Many news sites are excellent motivators and there are a plethora of sites that are more topically specific. Depends on which aspects you are most interested in.

Daryll, it's okay! It's a great site, isn't it? I have barely scratched the surface on the whole thing.

Hi Doreen, I found the site when we where preparing for y2k, it is just amazing the amount of information that is out there. Sometimes it is just to much. That is when I step outside and see how much more I have to do and learn. And I thank whatever gods may be for the chance to try. Daryll

Thanks for the site tips! I especially liked the attra and artrans sites - hope to have more time to explore them soon. I'm not a very good web searcher; so thanks for leading the way!
