Hi,

I'm expanding our hotel 1 1/2 hours north of Manila and would like to buy a used elevator good for 5/6 stories.

Any help finding one, or where to search futher would be REAL appreciated.

bite the bullet and buy a new one mate.....there not that expensive theses days and the reliability will be worth it. Besides all the modifications they will have to do to put it in will be a hassel....just my thoughts on the subject anyway! chino

come on mate....the reliability is excellent...as builders lifts they were superb...global controllers are 1 of the best i have seen by any company...it is or should i say was the miconic 10 (landing/car button system) that let us down. its now temporary (which we all no means permanent in the lift industry) fixed....besides parts are much easier to come by for new installations compared to old one's Chino

Used elevator

Ron: Unless you could find one in the Phillipines it would not be cost effective. Unless a building is being demolished most parts of installations are reused. By the time you paid for tear out and shipping there would be no savings and you would have bought a used elevator. Most used elevators are VERY used. Fred

just get a chain hoist , monkey and a bucket, replace the monkey as needed.

I have 2 elevators for sale they are both in excellent working condition 1 is a freight elevator and 1 is for personel they are on a 4 story building that i am demolishing .They are both Otis ,they were both inspected in 2002 and i bought the building at the end of the year and it is vacant ,i also have 2 dumb waiters .My telephone # is (406)257-1569 and that is located in Montana

the only thing dumb would be the person that bought them off you.....and before you get on my case yes i do know what a dumb waiter is.....the best way to get rid of them is pull them out and send them to the scrap metal yard.
