I am badly wanting to locate a bulb that will work in my parents Kodak Brownie 300 projector. If you have any enlightenment me (and my parents) would be very appreciative.

I would try the Radio Shack catalog. They have an extensive listing of old projector bulbs available by special order.

A quick search turned up http://www.chriscamera.com/south/bulbs.htm listing the CMV bulb at 27.28 ... there are probably other suppliers.
