I've been playing the piano for almost 7 years and am busy preparing for my Grade 8 ABRSM exam, so I am quite advanced in piano. I really want to start the organ as well - do any of you know, is the technique very different and can it have any strange effects on my piano techinque? Thanks, I was just wondering.

I started on a Hammond organ when I was 10. I found the differece was what I call "lazy fingers". It's much easier to press the keys down on a organ then that of a piano. So when I went back to piano, my fingers really had to do extra work to get the keys do

I play the organ for my church and I enjoy playing the piano, also. I have noticed some differences between organ and piano. It is easier to play the organ because on the piano you control the dinamics by how hard you push the keys. Organ is also harder because you play bass notes with your left foot on the pedals and control the volume with your right foot.
