Great site, Debb. Lots of thought-provoking information. Reminds me of back in the '70's when I was raising lots of kids, dogs, cats, ponies, pigs on next to nothing (depended on child support & cleaning houses for wages) I would stop at a local, small-town meat "locker" and buy huge beef kidneys for 10 cents apiece, grind them up by hand, and mix them with the cheapest dog and cat food available to save money. The dogs and cats thrived on it. I should start doing it again for my cats....wonder how much beef kidneys are NOW?!
