We had alot of weather today. a little town not to far from here reported Baseball size hail we didnt get as big but i put a few in the fridge that are bigger then a golf balls. even had one come through the bedroom window. even had a few folks head for the storm shelter between down pours. Have no idea why im telling ya all this, i just thought id tell someone.

Man, we are Weather Weenies here in Southern Oregon. Don't know what real weather is! Are you in the South, or mid west? I don't envy you with some of the severe weather. Don't want to get any closer than the Weather Channel! Hope all is well with the garden and stuff.

Mike, why is it we call large hail "good" sized? It certainly isn't good to have it strike a car or a bedroom window and I always thought it was a funny way to express large hail that way.

I saw the storm line on the local (central Missouri) weather report and heard the thunder when I let the dog out. I had to meet my husband and his ride at I-70 coming home from a business trip at 10:45 and could see the lightning in the distance then. It didn't come our way or fizzled before it got here.

We had hail here too a year ago andit suneted our log cabin walls. Took out hte gardens and the farmers fields for miles around. Glad to hear your all right!!

Back in the mid-eighties my (then) husband was transferred to S. Illinois. As one who'd had a life long terror of thunderstorms, my first thought was, "Oh no! Tornado alley!" Shortly thereafter, while reading my Bible, I came across Prv. 10:25 " As the whirlwind passess by,...but the righteous is an everlasting foundation". I took it as a promise from God that He would protect us (especially this big chicken). During our nearly two years in the mid-west there were some awesome thunderstorms, even a rotating wall cloud near our home, but no tornadoes. And we were definately left standing. Anyone else out there believe that God will speak personally to us by His Word? Stef. p.s. not much fear of thunderstorms any more and don't hide in the cellar any more, either. (:

Hey Stef! Certainly God speaks through His Word! He also uses other ways but I think the Word is the greatest of all those other ways He speaks to me. I'm livin on a "borrowed" farm from Him. It's Holy ground and has never suffered any damage from tornados that have passed by real close. Matt.24:44
