I was wondering, can you can goat's milk? I saw a post where someone canned their cows milk..has anyone done this with goat's milk? If so...how do you do it?

In the book "Goats Produce Too!" by Mary Jane Toth it says:

Pressure Canning Milk: Fill clean jars with strained milk, leaving 1/2 inch space for expansion. Put on lids and rings and tighten rings down gently. Place in pressure canner with 2-3 inches of water and process at 15 pounds pressure for 10 minutes. Do not start the timing until the pressure has eached 15 pounds. Remove and let cool 24 hours undisturbed before moving to storage. (note: pressure canning produces such high temp. tht the milk sugar found naturally in the milk caramelizes, leaving the milk a slight tan color)

I use the Hot Water Bath method which she also gives because I find it is a better end product. That would be one hour boiling time with the water up to the necks of the jars. It is still a nice white color and I use it for cooking and to feed out when I want the fresh for the house and there just isn't enough to go around. (allow the same 1/2 inch head room)
