I went to check out two used CL lenses today (I guess used kind of goes without saying for CL lenses). The 40/2 and the 90/4. They were in great condition. But suprisingly, I found the focus rings on both to be pretty stiff. Especially compared to the other different RF lenses I have owned (3 Voigt, 1 leica, and 2 Hassy). Is this a sign of something wrong? Or might it just loosen up a little with use? The guy said that he hadn't used them much recently. He's gone digital.

The 40 and 90 I had were smooth as silk. Those lenses may be in need of a good cleaning and relubrication. Any sign that they were dropped?

I have 40 and 90 CL lenses with both Leica and Minolta names on them. They all feel solid but smooth and move freely - not loose however. Be careful.
