ga-72xr or Abit KT7A Raid and also ram

I'm not sure about buying the Abit KT7A Raid motherboard. Is it compatible with a 1.33 GHz Thunderbird and would you recommend it over the GA-7ZXR and why. Can you use sd ram and ddr ram with such a set up or just sd ram on its own.

And also is the £9.25 CPU cooler you recommend with proccessors over 1.1GHz the best option for a 1.33Ghz Thunderbird.

When setting up a new motherboard and PSU do all the required power leads come supplied with the mother board or PSU or do I need to buy them seperately.

The Abit KT7A Raid is compatible with the 1.33Chip however it doesn't run 266MHz DDR Dimms, I would say the Copper base fan you mention is a must for these chips and yes the mobo should come with all nessasary cables.

I ask about the CPU cooler because i have read else where that it is well worth spending £20 on a cooler to ensure it runs fast and doesnt overheat.

Abit KT7A Raid motherboard is a Good motherboard however the VIA chipset is a bit risky nowadays! i would wait for the new SiS chipset to come out! also if you plan to update the Abit bios at all and u have RAID! it will ERASE ALL raid drive partitions etc. good board i have one. i sugest u look at http://www1.amd.com/products/athlon/thermals if u want a good heatsink its AMD Aproved list...
