Ixus or not?greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread |
I am trying to figure out which camera to buy. I do a lot of the outdoors here in Iceland; horseback trekking, snowboarding, hikes etc. I've been interested in the Ixus line from Nikon, mostly because of the size of the equipment, but photographing friends tell me the picture quality of the APS method isn't good. The photography I aim to do has, in most cases, to do with moving objects, people and animals on the track and trail. Anybody have good advice or opinion for me?

Well, this is a Black and White forum, and I don't think there is APS film in B+W available. Repost on this forum:http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a?topic_id=201

Don't go smaller than 35mm. Depending on your budget there are many 35mm cameras in all sizes and price ranges. Check out Canon and Nikon as two good options or the Contax G2 for a small, high quality package.
