Molting rabbit?

Do rabbits molt? My rex rabbit is eating, drinking, and acting fine, but all of a sudden has two bare patches on his back. There is already hair growing back because there is stuble. Should I be concerned or is this normal???

Are you quite certain that your rabbit is a buck, and not a doe?? Does pull out fur before bearing thier young....

Does pull for false pregnancies too. They usually don't molt in patches, maybe he scraped it one night. I wouldn't worry if it is growing back, only if more large patches happen. Then check for lice or other problems.
