Ok folks tell me the truth , out of all the posts {1480} I have made am I negitive ? I don't think so but you tell me . I have been with CS from the beginning and have seen good people come and go .I also have seen the bad stay ! Has anyone seen little bit at all? Brad doesn't post much , Lesley has left and I am sure I am leaving out many others .

Sounds as if someone accused you of being "negative".....From 10/99 until 1/2001 when I posted and read CS, I never found you to have a negative comment about anything or anyone...mostly you would jump in to make a few remarks when folks were being "catty" or sarcastic or otherwise beating each other up over something silly usually. The only cure I can recommend when a person has the "forum blues" is to take it off your "favorites" list and let the other folks keep chewing on one another...they DO seem to enjoy it so....God bless.

Thanks guys I feel better . Guess I was starting to wonder about myself .Did the kids drive me over the edge ? Did I not know what I was saying any more ? Did I ever know ? Don't answer any of the above ! I think all is made up now at cs{for the moment} I just miss the "old" forum .Guess everything changes and not always for the better .

No Patty, I don't find you negative at all. I agree with Lesley's suggestion. It takes some time to get beyond the fact that stuff has changed and that's just the way it is, so smile, dust off your breeches, and carry on.

I quit going to the countryside forum a while back....cancelled my subscription too. I don't miss it a bit. There are other forums that are so much nicer and so much more adult and civilized.

Nice to see you guys again. It does feel like old times. I've been lurking on CS but not posting much. I miss all the "old folks."

Kady (youngest daughter) and I went to County Fair last Friday for the 4H horse show. She did real well with a Grand Champion in huntseat (English), and placing well in the western events also. It was a long day though, the classes should have been done at 6 pm but the last 2 classes were cancelled at 9pm. We left the fairgrounds at 9:30 and lost all the trailer lights on Rte 81. We went the rest of the way home via the back roads with the 4 way flashers on and never did unload until almost 11:00. It was a very long day.

The next show is weekend after next at the Chenango County Fair in Norwich. I've never been up there so I hope the grounds are nice. Kady qualified for NYS Fair in 2 divisions-huntseat and western, but I don't think we'll be going this year. It's very expensive and she could do 4 other shows for what it would cost to show the huntseat division. It looks like we've got 5 more shows between now and the end of October. We are going to State Fair the end of August as Kady was invited to the Hippology (study of horses) competetion but it's only a day trip.

Rosie (my oldest) turns 18 in a little over a month. I'm in shock, I don't know how this happened! I'm far too young to have an eighteen year old child. She has a job and isn't home a lot anymore--neither is one of my vehicles. She'll be a Senior this year in school. I never realized how expensive a Senior year is: pictures, graduation fees, the list goes on...

Sorry, this got a little "chatty" I just haven't talked to you guys in so long.

I've only posted on Cs in the pas sveral months once and that was because I deleted an address by mistake of someone that wanted something. I've been to the archives a couple of times. Don't miss it and I did cancel my subscription.

No, I can't remeber a time when you were negative! You always seemed pretty fair to me. Little Bit was here for awhile, I think she might be busy or something and will probably be back. I miss the way the C- side forum used to be. It has now taken on all the fun of a date with a chaperone breathing down your neck and listening to every word you say to see if it's OK to say that or not! ( I had a brother like that once!)

I have not gone back to CS since they deleted Hoot and then my question about why they deleted him. Don't intend to ever go back. This forum has taken it's place quite nicely. I just wish we had even more posters. I'm always interested in how and why people homestead. Thanks all!
