My boss is so nice and smiley that it's nearly impossible to dislike her. But it wasn't so hard yesterday when she said she'd be back at noon so I could leave to go meet Lois Lowry, who I worshipped growing up, at a once-in-a-lifetime booksigning, and then she (my boss) didn't get back until 12:40 and Lois left (how cool. My band will be called Lois Left) at 1 and I got there at 1:20 and I cried real tears even though I was there in time to pick up some signed books she had left. Ah, the ennui of summer jobs.

Lawd. My company has an internet filter, which for a while blocked ThreeWayAction, and then didn't. All of a sudden it's now blocking DamnHellAssKings and MightyBigTV. What do they expect me to do all day?
