I have tried a couple of times to make mozzarella with goat milk now. It always comes out crumbly and yucky. It WILL NOT stretch. Every recipe I have seen calls for a microwave and I have one...at work! I don't like to nuke stuff, is there a recipe without the microwave that anyone has used with good results? thanks!

I happen to have an excellent(and fun) recipe for mozzarella. I've personally never heard of making cheese in the microwave....lol. I've got several good cheese recipes with the mozarrella. I'm going to just forward it to you. If anyone else wants it just let me know. If you have some trouble finding some of the ingredients let me know and I'll track some down for you.

IT ROCKS!!!!! Yeah!!! I am a cheesemaker, at long last, it's no more crumbly kinda seems like it might be mozzarella,if it were something could actually be sliced, or "sorry, I can only make feta, ricotta and yogurt...I can make cheese!!! (Doing a little dance, skipping around the room...happy, happy, happy!) It's honest to goodness good. I had to cut the recipe in half, but it turned out just fine. Already have requests from friends for their share. Thank you! Why don't you just post it here, Mandy? Thanks again!

Please, may I have it too? I'm writing from France where nobody makes mozarella, but I'm quite fed up of the plastic one sold in the supermarket here... I would like to make it. I hope all the ingredients are easily available here... Thanks a lot !

Thanks! The tradition of making mozzarella ended when my Uncle Joe died last year. I would like to revive that tradition. Your offer is most welcome. Tante Grazie. Bob C
