Does anyone remember this video?greenspun.com : LUSENET : MATH Plus One : One Thread |
I've written in HYD about the constant vigil we keep in our home around VH-1 Classic.
It's great because you can actually, you know, watch VIDEOS - something you cannot do on those other MUSIC VIDEO CHANNELS.
Anyway, there are videos here I've never seen for songs I've never heard thrown in with a wide variety of classics.
Also, there are some that amaze me with their strangeness. Elvis Costello's "Veronica" for example - he's singing aloud while the track plays... so.... you can hear him singing along with his own voice. Does anyone remember that one? Did they mean to do that? It's weird.
Any others you'd care to remember from days gone by? (And, for the love of all that is holy, spare me the NKOTB. We all remember "The Right Stuff.")

Once upon a time, there was a video of this man running through the streets of Tokyo, being pursued by unknown government forces. It was a teensy bit like live-action anime. "Once upon a time" was 1987 or so.It took me thirteen years to find the song ("Halleluiah Man" by a Scottish group, Love & Money). God bless Napster. But I still wish I could see the video.

I loved "Veronica" and I never noticed that he was singing along!I've been getting pissy about seeing all these videos in tiny clips on these retro shows, and realizing that they never actually played those videos before. Maybe they were all getting airtime on British Mtv. I don't remember ever seeing the video for Sinead O'Connor's "Troy".

I always loved me some Duran Duran videos. Those boys knew what they were doing.

There was a video with all these skateboarders' home videos of crashes and major wipeouts. At the end this guy broke his arm. It was playing late at night on MTV sometime in '96-'97. Anybody remember that one?
