AB, how's the finger?Al, how was JoLo?
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Stupid TV. I should have gone to get a stitch or two, I'm thinking. The cut keeps coming back apart. Hate! But my floor is SO cool.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
What were you doing to the floor? Is it too late to go get stiched?Y'all. Leigha. Never fails to amaze me.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
I painted it. I am in love with it. I might marry it.Yeah, it's too late. It's already closed up in the middle, but is sort of gaping on the sides. I have some steri-strips holding it shut, though, so I think that'll do it.
What'd Flaya do now?
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Just talking about what a great person she is.Do you think we need to add another category to the +1? Unleaded is pretty full. Except I dunno what.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Yeah, I think Unleaded has become more like "Miscellaneous." How about a "Popular Topics"? Hee. Pop Top.H, have you seen those cool cowboy belts A&F has now? I must have one.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Of course! Western is pretty big. I begged our wmn's art director to make a Texas Loves You tshirt, but he said no. Mayn! I'd kill for a shirt that said that.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Haha! Lin Chao's answer to Fred. Oh, Fred. Who knew Fred was so cool?!
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Man, a Texas Loves You shirt would be cool. In a really crazy font, like those "...and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" ones.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
A Texas Loves YOou shirt would kick ass. They could put some glitter on there, too. Actually, the NYT Fashion editor wrote a story on retro-kitsch t-shirts the other day, and how they are IT. A&F is nuts not to do some.Speaking of, I'll be in Texas in Sept.! Yay! First time since 1996.
Y'all. Mysterio. Killing me. Last night, I put our cold water-wash stuff in - linen, my favorite drip-dry purple pants from BR - and this morning, I woke up to find them IN THE DRYER. ON HIGH HEAT. Mysterio decided to do laundry at 3 in the am, and he put our clothes in the dryer. Not on top, or on the floor wet, or whatever. My skiiny sisters couldn't even fit into my linen now. My *most favorite* pants, ever? RUINED. I'm so, so sad. I don't know what to do. WHen I asked him if he had run them through the dryer, he said, "D'oh!" He's retarded. He said, "Oh, they loked all cotton!" Dude. Linen is nothing close to cotton. My purple pants are a cool fabric. THis is the retart who never once cleaned the lint filter.
I'm so annoyed I don't know what to do with myself. I'm not going downstairs until he changes out of his damn bathrobe. FUCK.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
That is very sad, T. Vince Chao dried my favorite black pants not too long ago. Now Madeleine couldn't even wear them.

Hey. Just checking in.
Y'all, I'm full of despair. Really. No job. I keep getting calls but they're all like, "Just wanted to call you, because I'm going out of town for TWO WEEKS, but your resume looks great."
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
At least you GET calls. Hmph.Maybe I should become a professional painter. I'm getting really good at it.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
T - why are you going to Texas?Tell Mysterio to get out of your damn house. Mysterio! Only he would do laundry at 3 a.m. When does he move out?
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
AB, that's not a bad idea. You could earn some of the texture techniques, too, and make a fortune in Highland Park.I'm going to Texas to visit my cousin Anna - she's in Austin - our cousin Vicky is coming out from DC, too. I figure I have the time, and SOuthwest is having a sale.
Mysterio. Kills me. He leaves the freezer dore open all night. He assumes that because something "looks like cotton" it should go in the dryer, on high heat. Who, I ask you, even puts cotton in the dryer on high heat? He goes to play darts at 3 a.m. because he can't sleep. He sets the alarm at 9:45 p.m., doesn't tell Chris, so the alarm goes off at 10 when Chris takes the trash out. He walks around in his bathrobe like he's freaking Howard Hughes.
He's leaving in December.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Vicky's a Lippincott? I guess I knew that.December. So far away.

Beth's latest is interesting. She just seems bitter to me.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2001
Y'all. Have you SEEN this MTV show, "Becoming?" Where people get to remake their favorite videos?
You HAVE to see it. Only teenagers would have the nerve to pretend to be Jessica Simpson and Nick Whatshisname and lip synch and make the EXACT same video (clothes, make-up, sets) as the stars.
I don't get it, but it's fascinating.

Praises, y'all. I have an interview next week with an alum-owned grassroots and lobbying firm. The position would be a liaison between the DC and the Atlanta offices, and yould do account and project management. I totally have all the experience they want. Getting this job would be a godsend.

Allison - my favorite one by FAR was the Christina Aguleria/Ricky Martin one. First, the guy was just way too into it and he kept talkign about how "romantic" it all was. The girl looked like she just wanted him to stop touching her. Then, he got like a CD and a pair of sunglasses or something, and the chick got hooked UP. You could tell he was like - Greeeat, the Ricky Martin CD I already fucking have!
T - that job sounds perfect for you.
