A few years back a white buffalo was born in Janesville, WI. There is a Native American Legend about when a white buffalo is born that something will happen.I can't remember what. I've heard that this buffalo has changed colors-red,yellow,black & white again. These are the colors of the races of people, the same colors of the Indian's cirlce of life and medicine wheels. This story was shown on Unsolved Mysteries. I plan to take a trip to see this buffalo soon.

We had 2 white english sparrows show up at our feeder about 6 weeks ago . I assume they were albinos as they had white feathers , yellow beaks but dark eyes . they stayed about 2 weeks , then disappeared . We assumed a hawk got them , but we had another about a week ago . It was here only one day. we are keeping watch, but so far no more Another thing , Years ago the crows were very wild and would not come near the house .Acouple of days ago one came into the yard to a pear tree ! Also cattle egreta always stayed in the pasture near the horses . Yesterday 2 egrets were in our back door yard . I guess they think we will not harm them . ( we will notb) Big George

Jeanne, how wonderful! The Plains Indians have a beautiful telling of White Buffalo Calf Woman (look up the story it's great) and (if I remember correctly) in the seventh generation there will be born 7 White Buffalo calves (female) born and at the color changes of the last, the Rainbow tribe will reign and everyone will work together for peace, health and a healthy planet. The first one was born in '94. I have lost track of how many have been born and haven't found any info. If you hear of any, would you post? Thank you and I wish I could see the calf, too. blessings, yancee

The white buffalo born in Janesville (Wisconsin) was named Miracle, and she has her own website: http://www.homestead.com/WhiteBuffaloMiracle/

There will be ceremonies this weekend celebrating her birthday according to the site. I believe she will be seven this year, has had two calves and may be pregnant with a third. Plus is first calf is probably pregnant as well.
