Position Overview:
Acts as field service technical interface between customers, project managers, and corporate engineers for existing product support. Provide technical support for both hardware and software installation, implementation, and maintenance support in the field to insure a timely response to minimize downtime of operational equipment and software. Supervises assigned Field Services Technicians.

Position Responsibilities:

Test both new and used hardware insuring maximum operational efficiency. Analyze results and repair or recommend solutions to manager

Maintains effective use of resources and time to support multiple projects, installations, and technical support nationally, including extensive travel.

Perform equipment repairs as required. Order and install new parts or equipment

Provide RF backbone and equipment support which includes configuration and troubleshooting Pproblems. Analyze problems, design solutions or recommend repair or replace alternatives

Perform software testing analyzing results and recommend appropriate changes or corrections

Provide support to the packaging operation assisting with both hardware and software needs.

Participate in training programs for both corporate and customer staff in the maintainence, repair and troubleshooting for hardware and software

Work closely with vendors to learn systems and to provide quality control in the installation and training of product.

Recommend to management new hardware, software or processes that will enhance the commercialization and installation of corporate products

Supervises the work of assigned Field Services Technicians to include performance reviews, scheduling and field training.

Prepare and coordinates the installation schedule for assigned Field Services Technicians.

Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum of an Associates degree or certificate in hardware/software technical support. BA in engineering or computer science or related field preferred. 5+ years experience in design, testing, repair and troubleshooting with RF, PLC, electro/mechanical hardware and software. 5 years in working in an enterprise operation where installation of customer systems is required. Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with customer personnel at all levels, including installation contractors, project managers, and professional support staff. Spreadsheet and wordprocessing proficiency, including use of internet and remote access software. Ability to read and comprehend mechancial blueprints, pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to consistently document and train others in the mechanics of testing and troubleshooting. Requires significant (50% or greater) travel throughout the United States to support project installation, implementation, and training.

Stephen, I have little doubt I could get the job, this is the second week it has been there-they fluffed it up some- but I am physically incapable of doing it. I was in the hospital during the 1998-1999 rollover. It was because of a problem caused 11 years ago, which finally ended up in the blood from my left leg to my heart being completely blocked.

I was supposed to keep off of my legs, but Mom got sick..and then Dad, now I am unable to walk more than a little bit and am in chronic pain from it, which has caused me to take a strong pain medication for over a year now.

Before Dad died he told my brothers' he was giving me his house, which caused them and my ex-sister in law to conspire against me, so when he died their have been nothing but legal accusations against me and court actions which have prevented me from receiving anything from the estate. The day I went to my parents house and my brother called the police and tried to have me arrested, had to walk away from all of it, it made me physically ill. I cannot work, I had my power turned off last week for the second time this year (*grin* turned it back on myself, just to turn it back off just before they came to turn it back on Friday), I'm completely broke, (been selling my baseball cards) tried social security, they have turned me down a few times, (standard operating procedure) , (they to do so 3-4 times I hear) so ~~~~~~~.......???????

I have been told for years now nothing can be done, until last month when I had to go to the ER for my problem and went to see a new doctor who says, maybe, just maybe they can take a vein from my left leg to use for a bypass on the right side. I go for test this coming week.

I probably shouldn't have written this, just more ammunition for some people to bash me.. but I haven't done anything wrong, I stopped working 8 years ago when my Dad got cancer and had been taking care of them since. I was devastated when Dad died, and the attack from my brothers made it worse, I never expected to be completely broke and unable to work.

So I WANT that job, I can do that job, I just hope they can fix me so I can get that job.

CS, look in the local Yellow Page ads for Lawyers (Attorney), and find ones that specialize in "Social Security Benefits".

They have ways to make sure cases like yours that are verifiable get benefits AND BACK PAYMENTS. Many are quite reasonable and a good example of Lawyers who do good rather than just do Law for money.

I got ahold of one who specializes in Social Security. He not only would take most of the back social security, he wanted someone to promise to pay him $4,000.00 if I couldn't.

Cherri,

You may have to look for a young, hungry lawyer who doesn't mind working for his money. By the time they're part of a firm with 6 names on the shingle, most lawyers won't take cases that require real sweat and footwork (unless the potential payoff is in the millions -- and even then, they'll whine and hand off all the grunt work to paralegals and junior partners[g]).

You don't want a kid fresh out of law school, but you also don't want some guy who's forgotten how to work. :)

Stephen, Wednesday I went to a community service center and talked to someone there. She is going to try to track down an organization that has lawyers who will help.

Friday I go for test to see if I qualify for surgery. Hope I do, I'd rather work than have to try to survive on Social Security :o)

Cherri, does the State of Washington have anything like a Voc Rehab department? When we first moved here, Sandy got VERY sick (I think you already know that story) and thanks to TWO missed diagnoses, almost died. She went blind and spent a week in Intensive Care ... and we didn't have the health insurance yet. I hadn't been at work but a month or two.

Voc Rehab figures that it's better to pay for surgery and rehab NOW to put someone back to work, rather than have the state pay them a stipend for the rest of their lives.

It sure worked in her case; they paid for her surgery, rehab, training and special equipment, then helped her get her current job. As a result, she's a tax-paying citizen, earning her keep.

Sandy and I will keep you in our prayers. Hang in there (I already know that you're tough[g]).

Shoot, if you have to, move here to Alabama and WE'LL introduce you to Voc Rehab. It doesn't work in every state, but it WORKS here. :)
