Mock if you must, but the NSync concert was AMAZING. Those people certainly know from good theatre, I'll tell you that. The production? Incredible. Incredible.AND. None other than the pop sensation formerly known as Debbie Gibson opened. Melissa and I almost wept.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Oh God, Debbie Gibson. Was she lost in your eyes?Hey y'all, remember when I had hair? I do. It seems like yesterday. Oh, wait, it was yesterday. Before fucking Vince fucking butchered my fucking hair and fucking cut it above my ears. Yeah.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Oh yes. She was lost in my eyes to her foolish beat before I had her shake her love all over my electric youth. (Actually, it was pretty great. Except when she sang her crappy new stuff.)Does Vince often cut your hair?? Digital picture!
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
No, there will be no pictures. Y'all don't understand.I can't believe you saw Debbie Gibson. I'm jealous.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Y'all, is it sad that writergirl had posted like, a lot more than any of us?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
It breaks my heart that Debbie Gibson has so little pride as to open for NSync. Wasn't she Eponine in Les Miserables for awhile? And now she's doing that. Sad.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Oh, I don't think so. She has a new album out. And her new songs BLOW.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Poor WriterGirl. She rove MATH!Okay, I've decided my hair is cuter. I did a little work on it with the razor. Please note that I will be obsessed with the hair for the remainder of the day, and maybe tomorrow.
Mike, did you know I STILL haven't gotten your postcard from Europe? I check mairbox arr day rong!
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Hey, me either! Soooo sad. What do y'all think of this +1con thing? I mean, I have to get to Atlanta sometime soon ANYWAY, so hey, I'm all for it. But our forum isn't even a month old. Does that mean we just seriously rock or what?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
AB, I don't know what the deal is with your, except that Italy's postal service must suck. Hannah, yours, well, I didn't have your address, so you're getting that with your thank-you packet. But I did write it in Italy, and I have witnesses.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
I think your Italian postmaster must not have liked me.Anybody know how to send faxes online for free? I need to fax my resume to the Arlington school district.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Um, email?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Hello, people.
Well, I had the extreme dishonor of receiving an e-mail from Napoleon this morning. JAG! It was about personal phone charges for May and June. He is SUCH an ASS. It can't be that many. I wonder if they're going to ask the guy they FIRED to pay phone charges?
ASS.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
No, it has to be faxed.I am just going to drop it off in person.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
See, Allison, that sounds like a question for the forum.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Blah. Maybe it should be. "Do you HATE your old boss?!"
Seems like it's too easy.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
AB, I thought you were growing your hair out?Al, would you be interested in doing PR and web development for Popeye's?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Would I get free chicken? (Because you know The MOC will ask that.)
Of course I would be interested.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Would it involve free food? Because if it would, hell, I might be interested.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Teri. I WAS. I just wanted a trim.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Isn't Popeye's based out of NO?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
AB, that's so sad. I bet it does look cute, though.Allison, I'll email you the information.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
There is about to be a Mike/Writergirl rumble in the Iron Chef thread.Mike is pretty adept at the smacktalk though. WG - slow day at the office?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Mike is unbeatable at the smack talk because he's just enough of a guy to be totally rude and not really care.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Hey, all I'm saying is you'd better come with your A-Game if you're going to try a war of written words with me.Hee. Between that and the Trivia thread, everyone will think I'm the biggest asshole ever and be all scared of me at the hypothetical MATH+1-con.
Really, I love Sakai and cheer for him. I just like to argue.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
You like to argue? Oh, come on.
Heh.
And, I'm a little concerned about the MATH+1 Con, yo. I think they're going to want to do it. Hasn't the forum been up for like, five minutes?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
I think about 8 minutes, Al. I know! It's clazy!
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Allison, this cracked me up:
"Dawn! Good Lord! Please refrain from any hating of the B-52s!"And I'm really ambivelent on the MATH+1 con. I'm not sure why, though.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
The whole MATH+1 con is a teensy bit disturbing, yes.Y'all. Mysterio. God damn. The contractors are here to fix the sheetrock, etc., around the house. There were some problems with the ceiling in Mysterio's room, so I led the contractors down to the dark, blacklight-lit room. Y'all. The construction workers started laughing. The place was such an odd, Mysterio-style sty that the non- English speaking contsruction workers were laughing out loud.
He has got to go.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Okay, you have to give details on the den of Mysterio.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
It's times like this that I wish I had a digital camera.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Me too.Mike - are you off at 4?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Sadly, no. I'm here until six.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
God.
I just got this call: "May I speak with Christopher or Kathleen Huff?"
Damn, y'all. I was like "They... he... well... they aren't here right now."
I'm sure it was a sales call, or whatever, but shit. They haven't been married since 1998.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
"And so this representative of the Flaya-haters will call a timeout so she can, oh, get some actual work done.I might not like leigha, but I'm not sure I agree with WG bringing up her hatred of our favorite fuzzwart in the Iron Chef thread.
Little things crack me up today.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
They haven't been married since 1998.I read that as "1968." I think it's more appropriate.
Mike, the Flaya-hater thing cracked me up, too.
I hate my hair again. Just so you know.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Ha! It took me awhile to get the Flaya thing. At first I was like - How does she know we call her that?! But then I got it.Duh.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Oh! Allison! Did Chris mention anything about the heinous ex last night?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Going way back, the MATH Con thing is freaking me way out. Who was saying September? And is he/she criz-nazy? Next month, my foot.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
I am seriously loving the "worst song ever" thread. I've been able to vent all my music emotions.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
I love Pineapple and all, but I fucking hate it when people say, "The mind boggles.", and she just did it.Who came up with that, I ask you?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
The inventors of Boggle. It's a marketing ploy.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Dang it, Hannah. I was just going to say that.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Hannah think she so funny. I bet she laugh at own joke!
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
I'm brilliant!
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2001
Okay wee ones, I'm out. Off to pack up my abode.
