I am a 16 year old looking for somebody to climb with in the bay area, lake tahoe, and maybe even yosemite. I have been climbing for two years with my parents at local areas, but would really love to go to lovers leap or yosemite with a real climbing partner. Any suggestions for finding someone to climb with, other than joining a rock gym? I have taken multi-pitch classes in Colorado for the past two summers, but can't seem to find a partner.

If you have a large chunk of free time, the best is the head out to the Yosemite Valley and hook up with other people at camp 4. Otherwise, there are a few outdoor/climbing clubs. Try "confused" and "rock rendez-vous".
