Glenn, I just thought I'd mention something in case someone is unable to match his/her printed NAB to the text at the USCCB site.

The NAB first came out in 1970. But around the late 1980s, a revised New Testament was published for the NAB, and I believe that the revised NT is present at the USCCB site. There are significant differences from the 1970 version.

I believe that I read that, not long ago, all U.S. Catholic parishes had to obtain new lectionaries containing New Testament readings from the revised NAB. Supposedly, the revised NT of the NAB is better than the original, in most respects. For example, we will now hear these traditional words:
"She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
Perhaps you'll recall that the 1970 NAB had this:
"... there was no room for them in the place where travelers lodged."

PS: I think that there has been no revised NAB Old Testament published yet. I think that there was a revised NAB book of Psalms, but it was rejected by the Vatican because it was badly botched with radical feminist language.

Xavier, can you read French? I suspect that the answer is "yes."
In that case, I have good news for you. I just found the original French text of the Jerusalem Bible on the Internet.
The JB came out, little by little in French between 1945 and 1955, then as one volume in 1956. Later it was published in English in 1966 (which is the version I wish I had, since I know very little French).

A revised version, the New Jerusalem Bible (tainted by radical feminist language), came out in 1985 in English.

Unfortunately, I have come up empty in a strong effort to find the 1966 English translation of the Jerusalem Bible on the Internet. This is really too bad. (I'd like to see the copious footnotes too.)
