Just had to prove I don't spend all my time punching the keyboard talking about hardware. Here's a few shots I took today at a big street fare here in the East Bay of the SF area. Thanks to all of you who have made bringing the camera along to large public gatherings seem more interesting to me. Yea I know, these weren't taken with the M3 but my "pocket Leica" Contax T3. Check out the camera van-now we know where all the old junk trading hands on ebay ends up.Solano Ave street fare images

Nice pics Andrew. The T3 has a great piece of glass in it. Did the Van have any Leica spares stuck on the outside??!!

I saw one screw mount camera and there was even a Hasselblad.

I see a few Nikons and a Canonette QL-17. There are a couple that resemble old Lieca screw-mount cameras.

LOL!Andrew must have gone to the "meet the street" BMX contest (or something like it but with a different name). It's run by a crazy man named Ron Wilkerson who owns 2-Hip bikes in SF. I was there last year shooting for a BMX magazine. Plenty of fun.
Here's some photos from the previous event (not taken with a leica though):

Does the street fair happen regularly? I would make the effort to drive across the bridge if it does.I thought the eye of the camera shot was cool, and the third bike shot, with the bike over the lampost, is perfectly timed.
