Y'all. My thong, cheering people up.Allison, Chris and I are getting the MOC a birthday gift that you can both enjoy.

I'm so crazy.
I had gotten The MOC a few things, way back in the days I had money, that I was going to give him - just stupid little stuff - and then I decided to wait a while until "I have a job" to shop for a real present.
Well, guess what? I still ain't got no job or money. Oh, and then the world blew up on Tuesday, and shopping for the birthday was totally forgotten.
So. I had to work half-a-day this morning... and when I left... I went to Target and bought Chris a DVD player.
People, it's what he wants. He got his W check a few weeks back and I could see in his eyes that all he wanted to do was go out and buy one. I gave him a little speech about his student loans, and so he hasn't done it. It is hard for him to be frivilous with money - and I think he would feel guilty about it since I cannot even buy myself a toothbrush.
Anyway, I went into my savings and got it for him. It's not even that expensive, but it seems like a lot. He'll freak out.

Look at Al, spending her savings on the MOC's viewing enjoyment. Reminds me of when I got a MasterCard so I could buy Corbin some J. Crew shoes for his birthday. So, Al, I'm assuming you bought a DVD for him to watch on that player? Because it won't do just to look at the player all night.

No, he'll have to buy HIMSELF a dvd. I didn't get one, because I ran out of money.
heheheheh.

Allison, what a thoughtful, wonderful gift.We got him a gift certificate to Star Provisions - it's the Bacchanalia store (for the non-ATL fols, Bacchanalia is the BEST RESTAURANT IN THE UNIVERSE. Except I've never been. Anyway. That will change soon.) and besides being a really cool store, it has the most amazing cheese selection I've ever seen in my life. Cheeses to make a man like the MOC weep. Salt-crusted cheese, even.
Al, Chris analyzed my dinner recommendations - but my work email is down, so you may want to reply to the yahoo mail.

www.interesting.comWhat a neat site! I love the fruit labels. I found this because I was looking to buy a Gadsden flag for Chris - it's his favorite thing, ever - a core philosophy, in fact.
