I just wanted to thank the folks who took the time to answer my questions about pygmies last week. I chose not to get the free goat. I did not want a single goat. I only have rudimentary knowledge of goats. I had originally planned to get two next spring/summer. And I wanted to be more prepared for their sake and mine.

Now, a sheep keeper has told me about two female pygmies needing a home. It's sooner than I wanted to get any. But, I will call about them tomorrow and also call a local goat keeper and see if he is willing to look them over for me and help me get properly set up.

Whenever I do this..I want to do it right. I'm going to learn..but not at the animals' expense. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site. It has provided me a lot of info and insight. Thanks..

That's a great idea to see if you could get someone with experience to look at the goats with you. Good luck, whatever you decide.
