Can we talk about other new fall shows in here? Because I saw an ad for that "Inside Schwartz" show, and I think I've seen it before. It was called "Herman's Head," and it was a damn good show.

Shut up.

I think "The Tick" will be hysterical - C, for one, is very excited. The casting couldn't be better. Puddy, y'all. Too perfect.

I have great hope for the new Jason Alexander show (that I'm blanking on the name of) but I'm sure it'll end up sucking. Ain't that always the way.

I think Inside Schwartz will do well because it's between Friends and Will & Grace, and Travis Birkenstock is a cutie.

But "Inside Schwartz" is just a half-ass "Herman's Head" ripoff! And "Herman's Head" was a really great show! And yeah, that "Veronica's Closet" show lasted a few seasons because of its Thursday night slot, but that doesn't mean it didn't suuuuuuuuuuuuck. Like, Dan Cortese suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. You're asking for a bad kind of suck, when you get Dan Cortese mixed up in naything.

I am actually excited about "Pasadena," mainly because of the yummy Martin Donovan, who is definitely up there in my Hollywood Top Five. Poor Martin - he starred in "Wonderland, which wasn't all bad, but I fear that "Pasadena" may have the same time-slot woes.

A friend of mine is a staff writer on "Crossing Jordan" so I'm making a point to watch that one in support of her.

And tonight is the season premiere of That '70s Show. In the Eighties! Fez with a mullet singing Everybody Wang Chung Tonight. I'm dying!

There's some show on tonight with a bunch of couples on a cruise or something, sort of like Temptation Island I think. You bet your boots I'll be all over that.

See I thought Inside Swartz looked like a cute idea that would get old really quickly. How many times can you laugh at a sports announcer describing this guy's sex life? With Herman's Head each inside-the-head character had their own little personality and they were on it every week. IS seems to have a revolving-door of sports people. Blah.

My issue with the Tick is that because Comedy Central had some rights associated with the cartoon they changed a bunch of the characters. Der Fladermaus is no more; Sewer Urchin is no more. Wah. Casting Puddy is genius though.

I watched Mind of a Married Man, and I hated it. If you enjoy watching a hen-pecked wimp fantasize about young girls and endure verbal and emotional abuse from his snotty bitchface British wife, this show is for you! Oh, and also, he has a womanizing cad friend who is "happily" married yet fucks everything that moves. Nice.

Love Cruise! Oh, I had no doubt that it would thrill me. You all should have seen me every Wednesday during the weeks of Temptation Island. Love Cruise was made for me. So much cheesy, phony, ugly behavior? Hooked. And then the Real World came on right after, so my butt was pretty much permanently on the sofa all night long.

Gina was pretty bitchy, but she had really cute hair. The same cannot be said for Boobi. Did you all see the previews for next week? I think her eyes actually jump right out of her head. Crazy.

Shae, I've been watching Grounded For Life. (And, apparently, way too much TV in general.) And since Danny Masterson is on the season premiere, I WILL be watching it, most definitely.

That youngest kid IS a panic, I loved the one where they were selling candy for school and the two kids were explaining to dad: "We're not supposed to sell it door-to-door, on the street, or outside of stores." And the youngest kid goes, "Or anywhere there are actual PEOPLE." BWAHAHAHA!

Aiden, the best youngest kid moment is when he was scroungin donuts out of dumpsters and then dancing outside a Chinese restaurant for food and they took away his dumplings. Ha! Oh, or when he fell asleep at the hospital and when he was woken up he said, "I'm sorry I'm naked in church, God." Hee.

We missed Undeclared because I can't commit to another Tuesday show. As it is we are going to TiVO Buffy and watch Gilmore Girls and I'm trying to keep the TiVO A, VCR B, watch C down to just Sundays when L&O:CI, Practice and X-Files are all on. No more That 70's Shows until summer re-runs for me.

We watched Undeclared.

I was disappointed, because although I expected not much, NYT evidently said really good things about it. I was hoping that it would be more real, less stereotype. Maybe I'm just out of touch with the college freshman scene.

I thought Undeclared was okay. I liked the Dad and the Barenaked Lady roommate bonding over a keg (although it's not very realistic). And the brunette girl having that fight with her boyfriend on the phone -- oh Lord my mind reeled and I looked over at my husband and said, "Um, I think I just suffered a flashback to us, circa 1993?" But the "debonair" British roommate was lame and every last one of those boys looks like a damn homeless man. What do the casting directors have against pretty, I ask you???

Oh, poor Emeril. The few minutes I caught, flipping back and forth, were PAINFULLY bad.

Undeclared: I wanted to like it, but it gave me the heeby jeebies, with that kid's dad hanging out at the dorm party, then spending the night. Ew.

Inside Schwartz wasn't bad, but I imagine all those "imaginary" scenes will wear after awhile. I hope they start using them sparingly.

Well, I hope future Tick episodes are more like the first ep, not the second.

There was no villain! How do you go an entire episode without a villain? And while I can process that Captain Liberty is no American Maid, so far she's been completely incompetent and sex-crazed. I like Batmanuel (and the nice touch of having his cell phone play a different tune every ep). And Arthur has come a long way. But please, have Captain Liberty kick ass, rather than get it, in the next ep.

Patrick Warburton is brilliant, but The Tick was being just plain mean to Arthur on occasion, as opposed to cluelessly insensitive.

Huh. I really didn't care for the first episode until the last 10 minutes but I loved last night! Although I still think they are doing the "Arthur as The Everyman Trying to Be a Hero" show instead of Tick.

They made a chismbop joke, nothing is funnier than a chismbop joke.

Given that it's live action I have a feeling there won't be a villian every episode, probably too costly for a half hour comedy.

Though I agree with your assesment on Captain Liberty. Also, that name irritates me. MISS Liberty people, geezus, it's not hard. Lady Freedom. Anything but Captain Liberty.
