Can someone tell me, did we just lose 100,000 people in the airline industry in just one day?

I'm listing all the layoffs you guys are posting in the layoffs threads, I was surprised to see Sep 26 post announcing more big massive cuts in the airline industry of up to 100,000 people. I don't know if these are new layoffs been announced or all the old layoffs added up in total.

And, that's only the tip of the iceberg. Think of all the ancillary services that are also affected. I mean caterers, taxi and limousine services, baggage handlers, clerks, fork lift and truck operators, storage personnel, and many others, too numerous to mention. The domino effect of 100,000 direct air line lalyoffs will result in the termination of an additional 500,000 jobs, at the very least, if not more.
