Hi all,

Does anyone know where to find a lens caps that will fit a 3-cam Vario Elmar 80-200mm f/4 lens when a filter is installed? It seems that a cap that fit snuggly over the lens hood would do the job, but I've not been able to find one so far. (The filter holder prevents the cap that comes with the lens from gripping the sides.) Any ideas would be appreciated.

Answers

It's possible you might find an oler Leica slip-on cap which just by coincidence fits over the retracted hood of the 80-200. However I have one of these lenses, with a B+W 010 MRC UV filter permanently attached, and while the OEM snap-cap doesn't fit quite as solidly as on the naked lens, it hasn't come off unexpectedly yet.
