My mom(Sandie) IS LETTING ME GET A DOG IN THE SUMMER WHEN WE GET TO OUR LAND AND SHE LIKED MY FRIEND'S NIEGHBOR'S DOG AND IT WAS A GOLDEN.And she said it had a kind face.I think she will let me have one if my sisters not illergic to the breed and so I was wondering if anyone had any retrievers that they breed so that I could get one from them and/or my sister can see if she's illergic to him/her well thanks!!!

How about letting your sister spend some time with the neighbors dog ? If she is allergic to him chances are she is allergic to most dogs .If she is I would suggest a poodle type dog , allot of people with allergies are fine with them .I do breed Golden Retreiver .

Please Please Please - if you do decide to adopt a new family member contact the Breed Rescue organizations.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of pure bred dogs and cats available through these tireless rescuers.

Many times they take in a Pure bred momma with her babies because owners have found their pets just too much hassle for the lifestyle or some such reason.

First, ask your Mom about having your sister tested by an allergist. That should take care of that situation one way or the other. As to the dog, I agree about the rescue organizations. PLEASE do contact them. You can try the web at

Why don't you try a Golden Retriever Rescue in your area they take in Goldens every day and get good homes for them. You might try Golden Retriever Rescue of Central Pennsylvania they could put you in touch with a rescue in the area you live in. Good luck, Sally
