First human embryo cloned Lawmakers predict practice will be banned in U.S.

MSNBC Nov. 25 — U.S. scientists have successfully cloned a human embryo for the first time — a breakthrough toward creating new organs for transplantation, the doctor whose company led the effort said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” But two lawmakers said Congress will ultimately outlaw the cloning of human embryos because of moral and ethical questions about the practice — and to prevent human cloning.

Personally, I think cloning is a good idea. Hell. The first two girls that popped out of my body caused a stir in my neighborhood. People asked every day if I'd just cloned them. They look different now that they're grown, but I was pretty concerned there for a while regarding reproducing something that didn't look JUST LIKE ME.

As everyone knows by now, I have no morals or ethics. I'd like to clone myself simply to raise myself and see if I turned out differently than my mother's raising. I view life from a Biologist standpoint. If it can be done, why not?

I think cloning is fantastic. Just think of the wondrous social experiments that could be performed. We could resolve once and for all the Nature v. Nurture debate. Then we could breed different types of people for different usages; ie workers, soldiers, intellectuals, athletes, etc. Everyone would know there place. Mone of these irritating dissatifactions and yearning for something better.
