From the old Home Comfort wood cookstove cookbook! It's fit to eat too!!!!

3 cups sugar, 1 cup milk, 3 squares of choc, butter size of a walnut. Bring first 3 to a boil stirring constantly until a "soft ball" stage. Remove from heat, add butter and let cool without beating until it's ready to beat. Beat vigerously until it starts to set up. Pour out into a buttered dish, pan. Peanuts can be added same time as butter. If ya'll'd rather have Peanut Butter fudge--replace the 3 squares of choc with about 3 heaping tablespoons of P-butter. Enjoy! old hoot, the candy luv'r, gibson. Matt.24:44
