The JBS organization, is it lead by God,menning Christ centered? Or if not who then is leading it?

Hi, Carl, I confess to not being up to snuff on the John Birch Society. I'm rather a long way, to start with, from the U.S., and most of the good works I do I make a point to do within and through the church. Simplifies things a lot for me.

Hi Carl. My opinion is that JBS is neither led by God or the devil, it is of man. It is an ultra-conservative political organization founded by a Christian pastor, Robert Welch, to fight the spread of godless communism and to defend the sovereignity of the U.S. They are staunch defenders of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Their membership base is not religion, but conservative political beliefs. Many religions are represented among the members. Their motto....Less Government, More responsibility, And-with God's help- A better world.

I read their magazine, The New American--www.thenewamerican.com--and find the articles VERY informative, especially the "conservative index" where they rate our politicians' voting habits. I do not agree with everything that is stated in their magazines, but I do learn a lot.

If you want to be politically informed, this group can do it. If you want Spiritual food and activities, look elsewhere.
