The server greenspun.com, which is this forum's current home, is being taken off line. Luckily, Philip Greenspun and the photo.net full-timers are working on a way to assimilate our forum into the photo.net service. Our forum will live! I received word today that this should all take place after the holidays some time. I will continue to be the forum moderator. They will provide me with a heads-up notice shortly before the transfer.

Good news, so we made the big time jump to photo.net.(would have been ashame for this site and all the archived messsages to bite the dust). One question, Can we request not to be included in the "unified forum" if they were planning on grouping us in there?
-- Andrew Schank (aschank@flash.net), December 12, 2001.
This is very good news, Tony - thanks once more!
-- Lutz Konermann (lutz@konermann.net), December 12, 2001.

-- Steven Alexander (alexpix@worldnet.att.net), December 12, 2001.

Andrew: No idea yet on how we will be placed within photo.net.Steven: No info on that, either. I do know that when our forum is part of photo.net, you will have to "log in" with email address and password in order to make posts. The photo.net system supports cookies, so you'll only have to log in once for each computer/browser you use to access photo.net.

Hi, Tony:I had been somewhat more busy than usual lately at my main job, the one that pays my bills (and my family's . . .) so that I hadn't came across this posting until today. But I think I'm still on time to thank you for your great job here and Phil too for housing us. And to wish you both wonderful Seasons !
Thanks again and regards !
