Consider this bag as an alternative

I would like to offer another option for consideration. Although it is not a classic "camera bag", I have been a fan of the original Danish School Bag for a long time. The full line can be seen at www.globetrot.com I have used these bags to travel extensively and my M6 and a lens or two fits neatly into the bag along with what ever else I need. For added protection I sometimes put in a little bubblewrap or a piece of packing foam if its around. Over the years I have adopted the "if it does not fit under my seat it does not go" technique of traveling. I carry this bag on my shoulder and I carry on a small aluminium haliburton case ( it has to be over 20 years old by now). Unless I'm going to be away for more than a couple of weeks this is all I need. Take a look at the bags. you might like it for a change. Best, Fred

Try this. Cheers.

I just bought an f64 (gasp) Digital camera bag. it is quite compact and I can put my 90mm and my Noctilux in the bottom in their cases and the camera with a 35mm attached on top of the lens cases. There is room for film and filters in a zipper pocket. I had my wife sew a black patch over the the f64 logo so it looks like a small general purpose bag with a shoulder strap. Works great, not an obvious camera case and not a cubic cm of wasted space or extra weight. And it was cheap.

i very much like the wooden ruler!

Being from Denmark, I actually used them as school bags. The ruler is necessary to keep the shape of the bag.
I was not too impressed by their longevity though. I had to get a new one every 2 years, but then again; I can't imagine a bag getting more daily abuse than a (my) school bag. Maybe I should try one out for a camerabag -never thought about it.

The 1233 looks really good for my needs. IŽll try if I can find one (IŽm also from Denmark, so it probaply shouldenŽt be a problem).

However, if I buy another bag, I'm in trouble.

Go to www.danishbookbag.com; this mail-order place in NJ is the sole U.S. source now for the original Danish Book Bag.
