Hi, I've looked in my cook-books and on yahoo search and can't seem to find a simple recipe for plain old hershey's kisses thumbprint cookies.I'd like to make these with my little ones tonight.If anyone knows a link or wouldn't mind typing all that here,it surely would be appreciated!Thanks ever so much!!!!May the Lord bless, Tracy

don't know about thumbprint cookies, but i think the kids would like this. i seen a article in a mag. at the book store the other day. (wife showed it to me) anyway, the cookie dough was cut out in the shape of the kids hands, decorated, and cooked. sorta like eating the hand that feeds ya i guess.

Peanut Blossom Cookies1 pkg. 8oz. Hershey's Kisses or Hugs 1/2 c. shortening 3/4 c. peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) 1/3 c. granulated sugar 1/3 c. packed light brown sugar 1 egg 2 tbs milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt granulated sugar
!. Heat oven to 375, remove labels from kisses 2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl until well blended add 1/3 c. granulated sugar and brown sugar, beat until fluffy. Add egg ,milk, and vanilla beat well. Stir together flour , baking soda, and salt ; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. 3. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a kiss into each cookie: cookie will crack around the edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4 dozen.
Tuxedo Brownie Hugs Cookies
60 Hershey's Hugs or Kisses 1 Pkg. (1lb.6.5 oz) Original Supreme Brownie Mix with syrup pouch 1/4 c. cocoa 1/4 c. water 1.4 c. vegetable oil 2 eggs
1.Heat oven to 350, remove labels from hugs. Grease and flour cookie sheet, or line with parchment paper. 2.Stir brownie mix, pouch of Hershey's Syrup, cocoa, oil, and eggs in medium bowl until well blended. 3.Drop by spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet. 4.Bake 8 minutes or until well set. Cool 1 minute, then press hug or kiss into center of cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Makes about 5 dozen.
