Your Favorite/Most Used Websites, What are They?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
I would like to create a list/bookmark of everyone's favorite websites. This list would include the sites you go to for gardening, farming, buying/selling equipment, animal care, cooking, recipes, hunting?, etc,... If I get a good response and some time, I will compile them into a webpage and post it on the net. If there is a page like this already, please let me know. The wife is already looking for a new house with some land included and one of the things I would like to do is get some rabbits for the kids. I plan on making the older kid do some research and write me a report about housing/raising the rabbits as a school project. BECAUSE I need to know too! hehe

homesteading related;Articles touch a wide range of subject areas. Included are such diverse pioneer craft and industry as wooden toy making and rope making. There are biographical profiles of Ozarkers' reminiscences of life and recreation. Agricultural topics range from sheep shearing to bee keeping. Bittersweet has been described as a "Foxfire of the Ozarks" after a similar project begun in Georgia in the early 1970's.

Steve, if you would go down to the old answers and read through from a to z, (assuming you have that much free time)there will be a mind boggling list there from previous posts in all catagories. Just arranging them in order would proabily take a month, at my rate of typing anyhow.

Honestly, this and Country Families are two of my most often accessed. My bank would be another. Certainly local weather is there. I hate to admit this one, but Yahoo TV listings. Google also makes the list as does Ebay. Beyond those it varies quite a bit. Lately it had been sites looking for a tractor to buy but, now that I have one I went and deleted all those from my favorite places. I know this isn't exactly something you can put into any kind of compendium, but thought I'd answer, regardless.
