I took about 5 semesters of Spanish while in High School. I haven't really used it since and have forgotten a lot of it. A bloody shame too.

Ummm... Yeah! Taco Bell en all! You already know all I know of Spanish. The big white devil thing. I tried to take German in HS but they said I had to have a B average to take the class. I worked and pulled my grade up but the next year they didnt offer the class. They said that there wasnt enough intrest in it to pay the 500 bucks for the satalite feed. So I let my grade slip again. I suck.

How ya been, girl? If you really want to learn a foreign language, school is a good start, but you really need to live in a place where you only speak the foreign language for a few months, if you want to get fluent.

My spanish improved 1000% when I took a friend out to dinner every week. She is from Venezuela, and we spoke puro espanol for three or four hours each week.

I learned much more from her than i ever did travelling around Latin America a jillion times.

That's what my Spanish class instructor said. The BEST way to learn another language is to seek out speakers of the language and interact with them in that language whenever possible.

Yeah. That makes sence. We have a Mexican Restraunt here in town. Mi Toro. They only hire Hispanics. I love the place! They have about 7 guys cooking and the manager takes to go orders and runs the register. And about 4 waiters. And 2 busboys. Did I mention that the place is half the size of your average McDonalds! All those cooks and you get your food quick! And the waiters make sure everything is alright. I love that place! A majority of the Hispanics here have Manual labor jobs like road constuction (not a steriotypical statment, just from what I have seen). If the hillbilly racist would give them a chance elsewhere I bet they would see that thewould excel in any position.

This is for all those people bitching about all the Hispanics moving around here lately: They work hard and are contributing something to this nation, be they legal or not. So shut the fuck up with that racist shit already.

I wish I had taken Spanish. Oh, how I wish...

Ah....When you live THIS CLOSE to NYC, you HAVE to take spanish in school. They taught it at my ELEMENTRY SCHOOL. everyone I know can speak at least a broken spainish, and it is required by my HS to pass a spanish final in order to graduate.
