Dear Mr Lars,

It has come to our attention that you are experiencing troubling symptoms like leaving your fly open at the premier night of Symphony.

Please consider the AlzheimerAlert test. If you do not understand the information below, contact 911 immediately.

We would appreciate you passing this info on to your boomer friends at Unk's Troll-Free Saloon. They are reaching the time of greatest risk, especially if they fried their brains during times of youthful indiscretions and/or if they are obsessing on Leftist politics.

The AlzheimAlert test is available to physicians through Nymox Corporation¹s certified Clinical Reference Laboratory in Maywood, New Jersey at a cost of $295. The patient provides a first-morning urine sample for testing. The patient¹s doctor then forwards the sample to Nymox¹s laboratory where the test is performed. The results are then reported to the doctor, to be considered together with patient history, physical examination and other relevant medical data in arriving at a diagnosis. The test is not intended to replace a physician¹s diagnosis.

The AlzheimAlert test measures the level in urine of a brain protein called neural thread protein which is elevated early in Alzheimer¹s disease.

Neural thread protein, the brain protein detected by AlzheimAlert, has been repeatedly proven in independent, blind-coded clinical trials to be an accurate marker for Alzheimer¹s disease, both in confirming a diagnosis and in ruling out the disease. There is a wealth of published data on the test, the protein and its relationship to Alzheimer¹s disease, including, for example, such published studies and reports as:

… Journal of Clinical Investigation (1997; 100: 3093-3104), … Journal of Contemporary Neurology (1998; art. 4a),

… Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis (1998; 12: 285-288) and (1998; 12: 223-226),

… Alzheimer¹s Reports (1999; 2: 327-332), (2000; 3: 177-184) and (2001, 4: 61-65), … Neurology (2000; 54: 1498-1504) and (2000; 55: 1068), … Journal of Alzheimer¹s Disease (2001; 3: 345-353),

… Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology (1996; 55: 1038-1050),

… Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences (2001; 58: 844-849), and … Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology (2001), in press.

Reports about this Nymox technology have also been featured in prestigious trade and lay publications such as Clinica (Sept.25, 2000), Genetic Engineering News (Oct.1, 2000), Clinical Laboratory News (September, 1999 and October, 2000), Modern Maturity (Dec., 2000), ADVANCE for Administrators of the Laboratory (June, 2001), ASRT Scanner (August, 2001), RN magazine (August, 2001), Clinical Geriatrics (November 2000), LabMedica International (June 1998), and Clinical Laboratory International (October 1998). The NTP test is also featured on The National Institute on Aging National Institute of Mental Health website (Progress Report on Alzheimer¹s Disease).

The early diagnosis of Alzheimer¹s disease is important to physicians, patients and their families. It enables them to make informed and early social, legal and medical decisions about treatment and care. It permits patients to take advantage of new improvements in drug treatment and care. Even a modest delay in institutionalization can mean substantial social and financial savings.

There is a widely recognized need for a simple, accurate and convenient test that can help physicians diagnose Alzheimer¹s disease. The U.S. Surgeon General has described the diagnosis of Alzheimer¹s disease as "challenging" and its early detection as "difficult" and noted that, as a result, Alzheimer¹s disease and other dementias are "currently underrecognized, especially in primary care settings, where most older patients seek care."

The AlzheimAlert test meets all the standards for a diagnostic aid for Alzheimer¹s disease. It is a convenient and easy to administer urine test. It is cost-effective. It helps in the early detection of the disease. It measures a disease marker neural thread protein that is strongly associated with the underlying disease process.
