Yea, the story of my grandfather and the depression era job he got by being nice to a hobo and having the "biggest damn ears in Limestone county".

My Dad grew up in Greeley, CO on a farm & tells of the hobos walking from the train tracks to his house. He says his mother was always glad to give the travellers a hot meal, but they had to eat it out on the back porch. My Dad says he used to sit inside looking out the door & watch them eat their meal.

I'd love to read a book about hoboes....their lifestyle, stories, etc. If anyone has a recommendation please send it along.
