It scans. The trouble I'm having is with the software, and with the documentation. Plus, I can't figure out how to get "Silverfast" going. The "find" utility says Silverfast is on board, but the Epson Dumb Panel doesn't acknowledge its presence.

Help?

Silverfast SE is a plugin for the Photoshop Elements app. which was included with the scanner.

You have to load Photoshop Elements, then load Silverfast. Once that has been done, when you open Photoshop Elements, you can aquire using Silverfast SE.

I also purchased an epson 2450 scanner. I would like more information and documentation with scan examples (various setting recommendations for 4x5, 2.25x2.25, and 35mm slides, and negatives. If you find any good documentation resources please let me know. It is amazing how we consumers buy this techno stuff and often receive very little documentation. I would be willing to purchase a book on scanning and printing using the 2450 with ink jet printers. Good luck.
