The commercials!

Yeah, the Super Bowl was great ... but what did y'all think of the commercials shown on Super Sunday? Any favorites? Any that sucked?

Personally, I thought the anti-drug ones could not possibly have been worse, and I really liked the E-trade one they showed in the first quarter where the monkey gets fired.

My favorite was the Bud Light one where the guy slid across the satin sheets and out the window. Classic. What the hell is an mlife or whatever those were about?

You know, I can barely think of any that stick out in my mind. Nothing really impressed.

Oh. And for the record? I hate Britney, no matter what the decade.

I have one word for Britney Spears: Overexposure.

My response to the "Vote for your favorite era of Britney's commercial": None of them! Aaargh!

I didn't watch most of the game but my hubby's favorite one was Bobby Bonds and Hank Aaron.

Hey, my friend Kurt worked on that one! Did you happen to notice how horrible the set dressing was behind Hank Aaron? Was that supposed to be an announcer's booth? It looked like they shot it at TGI Friday's...

Okay mlife? Apparently mobile life. It's AT&T wireless cell phone propoganda. What. Ev. Er.

I thought Pepsi fired Brittney's ass for drinking Coke? They should have stuck with that. Also, for someone who lip synches every performance (including SNL this weekend) she is REALLY bad at it.

Those "drug use support terrorism" spots pissed me off to no end. Is there some proof to this claim that terrorists have supplanted gangs and South American cartels as our nation's drug suppliers?

The monkey ad was funny as was the Bud Light BattleBots spoof. I hear the Bud Clysdales bowing to the NYC skyline was moving but I was right in the middle of an intense game of Spider Solitaire and missed it.

All in all though I was disappointed by the commercials. Note nearly as entertaining as previous years.

The Bud Clydesdales stuck in my mind as being so offensively tacky. I mean, really.

I kinda liked the Yahoo talking dolphins. The other commercials were disappointingly lame though.

Oh, and the Subway Jared commercial. Apparently if you lose weight the Jared way, you also become a jackass.

See, I thought the ads were a great argument for legalizing drugs -- presumably, if we did that, the government or good hard-working Americans would get the money instead of Al-Qaeda. I mean, the only reason terrorists get that cash is because drugs are illegal and they have no other choice, right?
