I believe that it is still available. As far as I know, it is an F1 hybrid developed at North Carolina State University. Try doing a Yahoo.com search using the following search criteria:

"Mountain Spring" tomato

I recently bought some "Mountain Spring" tomatoes from NCSU at our local county extension--about a month ago, so they are still selling them.

In 1994, I ordered a packet of Mountain Spring tomato seeds from Twilly 's - moved a couple of times, but ran across the remainder of the packet a month ago. I decided to plant the seeds to see if any germinated. Looks like the 8 year old seeds have about 80% germination - seeds were stored in a glass canning jar, in cool location. I'm looking forward to again enjoying this tomato - in NW Arkansas.

I cannot understand why anyone would want seeds to a tomato that is tasteless, tough and is capable of withstanding a seven mph impact. It is the delight of the retailer who can leave this tomato on the shelf for weeks without deteriorating. This tomato should be boycotted by anyone who likes tomatoes.
